Lory Barton, Executive Director

Lory joined ChristAid late in 2025. She has worked in ministry and nonprofits for nearly twenty years. Past ministry roles include a ministry in Ethiopia with a mission similar to ChristAid’s, and a staff leadership position at her multi-campus church. She has also led development and communications, and served as Executive Director, for several human services nonprofits in Colorado.

Lory and her husband Dave have eight children, three of whom are adopted from Ethiopia. They love to travel and are thrilled to add Uganda to their list of loved destinations.

She is humbled to advance the Kingdom of God alongside ChristAid’s donors, leadership, volunteers, staff, Kids, Grandmas, families, and communities.

Lory’s favorite Scripture is 1 Thesalonians 5:24: “The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.”

Aimee Gaibler, Development & Program Coordinator

Aimee engages with sponsors and donors and supports the internal processes and systems at ChristAid. She has a keen eye for detail and enjoys solving problems and implementing solutions. She also provides leadership at events like our annual virtual meeting for sponsors and their Kids or Grandmas, and our Fall Celebration. Aimee and her husband are raising two young children.

Janice Gibson, Letters Coordinator

As a key volunteer, Janice work closely with Uganda staff to coordinate the sending and receiving of letters to and from our sponsors and their Ahadi Kids and Grandmas for Jesus. Her work is one of the many special qualities about ChristAid: Our sponsors and their Ahadi Kids or Grandmas grow real, meaningful relationships together! Before joining ChristAid, Janice was an elementary school teacher.
